Playa Hating From The Sideline: Who's Really Plotting On Your Boo

I see you creeping in the background. You're not slick; fall back. The "you" I'm referring to is the current or future guy who meddles in my relationship. I'm not trying to speak this travesty into existence, or bore you by blabbering on about my love life. The topic is being addressed because the playa hater aka "crab in a bucket", "Buster" Douglas, or PB (doesn't stand for peanut butter) is on the prowl, and their tactics can cause serious detriment to those looking for love. In an early episode of the classic TV sitcom, "Martin", the title character becomes concerned when Gina begins to hang out with a male coworker named  Wallace . His entry into Gina's circle was that he participated in tasks men generally hate, like shoe shopping. Your girl and her best friend: They're just so close... so close...too damn close. While Wallace was not actually pushing up on Gina, there are plenty of men (and women...ladie...

That's The Way To Start The Day: Best Cereals of All-Time

Happy that God (or "Father God" as he is known in Black churches) had given me another day, I celebrated by reaching in the cabinet and grabbing a box of cereal, man's most unique creation. I'm clearly being facetious, but cereal is absurdly tasty. Cereal is one of the first dishes to combine the sweet taste of dessert with the nutrition needed to kick your day in gear. In addition, cereal is quick paced, so you can eat and roll. Any time that box is next to the bowl, fun and goodness will occur. Though cereal is enjoyed by adults, the food is more commonly associated with the good-hearted nature of children. It is synonymous with Saturday mornings, cartoons, and pajamas. Every person has grown attached to a few particular boxes of breaded goodness, and I am no different. Today, we highlight the greatest cereals of all-time. Cinnamon Toast Cru...

Off Limits: Who to Avoid Dating From Your Friends' Database

Like most people in their 9-5 work endeavors, I enjoy very interesting conversations. My coworkers and I are a family of sorts..a multiracial family who commonly disagree due to differences in age and upbringing. Despite the difference in opinion, we are able to discuss a number of topics considered taboo, including money, reality television, relationships, and even sex. The scenario is usually the same: two people are discussing the subject, and another party is ear hustling and joins the fray. This opens the floor for discussion, "everybody gets their cups, now they CAN chip in" ( Snoop  remix). Sorry Romeo and girl from Disney, this "Master P" has limits. One of our most interesting conversations took place Thursday. The coworker who sits next to me asked me about the double standard of promiscuity during relationships. It was presented to me informally, but "the double standard of promiscuity during relationships" makes me sound extremely i...
